It can be very difficult to find funding for sober living home projects in any state, and Massachusetts is no different. It’s worth keeping an eye on this agency to see if they’ll make a similar move in the future. Establishing a strong sober home community culture is critical to success in recovery. MASH-certified sober homes must also offer a peer-based environment and be drug- and alcohol-free. Sober living homes replicate normal, everyday life situations while instilling healthy habits and helping the individual better their lives through employment or education. Noel Dennis is the owner-operator of Men of Dignity Sober Living, LLC, which provides sober housing for women and men throughout various communities in Massachusetts. Noel holds an MBA in Nonprofit Management and has contributed to impacting business outcomes through effective organization, prioritization, and execution of key projects. Noel prides himself in his methodical and calculated approach to problem solving and hopes to utilize his experience in a positive way as a MASH Board Director. (e) The director shall periodically evaluate the quality of training being provided to operators seeking certification and the integrity and efficacy of the accreditation program. Sober homes support various abstinence-based pathways to recovery, and each residence focuses on one or more particular pathway.
